DIY Stress Testing

It’s been a busy year to date with eight under stairs storage installations carried out so far as well as a few other projects. In my spare time I do a fair bit of cycling and have a very low-tech and scruffy indoor training setup at home (see photo). The reason I’m sharing this is that my bike rollers (the blue cylinders) are seated on a simple frame made of poplar plywood. This is exactly the same material I use for making under stairs drawers and is assembled using the same fixings. I estimate I’ve cycled about 12,000 miles on this set up and worn out one set of rollers but the frame is still solid (if rather dirty). I think that is a pretty good demonstration of durability!
